Authorities have determined that the eighteen-year old shooter, who opened fire at a McDonalds in Munich, used a hacked Facebook account to lure victims to the restaurant.
Ali David Sonboly hacked into and used the FB account of a teenage girl named Selina Akim. He posted a message reading "I’ll give you something if you want, but not too expensive." The incident resulted in the death of 7 and the wounding of 27. Sonboly was one of the deaths.
The victims were lured to the restaurant at 4 PM. Sonboly was waiting for them.
German police at first thought he was a ISIS follower, but later confirmed that he was just a troubled teenager who was fascinated with mass murder. Sonboly also used the image of Norwegian mass murderer Anders Breivik as his WhatsApp avatar.
