Pirate Bay Suffers Another Worldwide Outage

The Pirate Bay is once again suffering from attempts to shut it down. Those of you unfamiliar with Pirate Bay, it is the largest known website for downloading torrents of movies, music and more; most of it illegal.
The Pirate Bay uses CloudFlare's "Always On" technology so that it is still often accessible. Their problems currently come because Internet backbone provider Cogent has blocked the new IP addresses assigned by Cloudflare to ThePirateBay.
This also happened last month and at Cogent said that The Pirate Bay block was because they were enforcing a court-ordered IP address ban. Cogent had been ordered by a US court to ban the IP address 104.31.18.30, and 104.31.19.30 and Cloudflare’s hosted Pirate Bay's assigned IP fell into that range.
So, the reality is that this is a game that has been played for years. The Pirate Bay is shut down, and they move servers, change IP addresses and so on. Overall, it could be considered a waste of our government's time, because The Pirate Bay has proven to be resilient and always come back up but still a necessary evil, I suppose.
