Skype Has Issues With Message Sequencing

Posted by: Timothy Weaver on 01/04/2016 06:40 AM [ comments Comments ]

Microsoft has reported a strange issue with some PC's and their communications software, Skype, that has messages showing up out of order.

User Vulcan.C brought up the bug in a post on the Skype Community yesterday, writing that β€œwhen I get a [message] from someone or I reply to a [message], no [matter] what, my [messages] are always above the [messages of the person [I’m] talking to.”

Claudius Henrichs, Skype community manager has noted that others are having this issue with version 7.17.0.105. "As a temporary workaround while we are working on an updated version with a fix please download and install the previous version here,” Henrichs wrote.

Microsoft publishes updated versions once or twice a month while the current version was released Dec. 15. It is expected that Microsoft will publish a fixed versions in the coming days.
