Twitter Android app experiencing technical issues

Posted by: Jon Ben-Mayor on 12/28/2014 09:19 PM [ comments Comments ]

Just went to check in on my Twitter account and was forced to logout due to a technical glitch.

It appears that I am not the only one as people are taking to other social media to report the same forced logout.

I also found a little blurb on the Hacker News Facebook page that states "Twitter Servers think we are living in Dec 2015, and forcing large scale Log Out worldwide."

Twitter is aware of the problem and acknowledge that some users are currently having trouble signing in. They go on to state that engineers are currently working to resolve this.

Some users are saying that even when they attempted to log back in their passwords were not accepted and others fear that it is possibly a DNS attack. The prospects of a DNS attack are totally unconfirmed.

I think I will still wait a bit before I re-enter my soon to be changed password - just in case this is something other than a simple glitch.
