Wendy's Has the Beef… and Malware

Posted by: Timothy Weaver on 02/12/2016 05:44 AM [ comments Comments ]

Apparently, Wendy's has come under attack. An investigation has found malware on some of the stores in the chain.

The breach was discovered when some customers reported unusual activity on their payment cards used at several of the fast-food retailers' locations.

The investigation is ongoing and the company said that the nature and scope of the potential incident would be difficult until the investigation is completed.

The incident has already spawned lawsuits. An Orlando man became the first to file a class action lawsuit against the chain after he claimed his card information was stolen at a Wendy's location, then used to purchase more than $577 in merchandise.
