A woman in San Jose, CA., was waiting in line at a busy DMV office to take her driver's license test for the third time caused an accident that closed the office down; the two previous attempts were fails and as the saying goes - three times a charm.
When the line began to advance, the woman hit the accelerator too hard and plowed into a motorcyclist also waiting in line for testing.
The driver declined to give her name but told KTVU she was nervous about taking the driver's license tests because this would have been her third try.
Around noon the line started to move but she said she hit the accelerator instead of the brake and rammed a motorcycle rider in front of her.
Then, she said she swerved to try to avoid running over the rider and crashed into the Santa Teresa DMV building shearing a gas line. Gas crews arrived and quickly capped the leak.
The woman said she wasn't hurt but was dismayed that she forced the closure of the DMV and that she would have to postpone her test. Hopefully she will postpone it permanently.
