Endpoint Status Checker checks endpoint availability based on Protocol Scan HTTP/FTP or by a simple Ping. It uses several APIs, including SpeedTest, GeoIP Location, Traceroute, VirusTotal scan, and more. You can set Endpoint Status Checker to run automatic periodic or continuous scans, and it includes a systray icon and notifications to keep you informed.
Endpoint Status Checker is a fast-to-use tool allowing you to monitor your network infrastructure. It will be helpful for use with a larger number of network endpoints. It includes two types of tests: Protocol Scan and Simple Ping. The Protocol Scan will recognize HTTP and FTP endpoints. It opens sockets using the protocol corresponding to the target machine.
The Endpoint Status Checker UI is chock-full of goodies and runs an initial scan when first deployed. Of course, you can always run an on-demand scan with your parameters. It also includes a built-in option to run a speed test via Ookla and logs the steps as it goes. If you are looking for an Open Source network monitoring tool, Endpoint Status Checker will be worth a look. It doesn't hurt that it is an Open Source app.
