Privacy Possum is a browser extension for Firefox and Google Chrome that blocks data websites use to track you.
Privacy Possum runs in the background silently and can be ignored, hence the single screenshot. While the technology isn't fully explained, Privacy Possum says that it can reduce and falsify data used by tracking companies.
Similar to ad blockers, you can whitelist any website by clicking on the extension and clicking on the large power icon to enable or disable. Disabling Privacy Possum on some websites can come in handy for sites like Amazon, or any website where you might want to see recommended items or where where "tracking" is useful.
Privacy Possum adds a layer of security to the two major browsers. While it might have been coincidence during testing, we found that websites initially loaded slower on the first try. We want the ability to see what was tracked rather than just the numbers, but again, this extension seems to be simple by design.
