Add Win+X Classic Menu to Desktop Context Menu
By Timothy Tibbetts |
Microsoft is removing or hiding the classic Control Panel and replacing it with Settings. Bu using registry files, we can add the classic Win+X menu to the Desktop Context Menu.
Due to multiple registry changes, downloading our registry files simplifies the process.
Download Add Win+X Classic Menu to Desktop Context Menu and extract the two files.
Double-click 'Win+X Classic Menu Desktop - Add.reg' or 'Win+X Classic Menu Desktop - Remove' (Default).
Click Yes when prompted by User Account Control.
Click Yes when prompted by Registry Editor.
Click OK when prompted by the Registry Editor.
All of the changes are made in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\DesktopBackground\Shell\WinXclassicMenu
This tweak is included as part of MajorGeeks Windows Tweaks.
