How to View and Convert ITHMB Files

On your Windows computer, you might have discovered files that end in the ITHMB extension, and you can't open them. In this tutorial, we discuss what an ITHMB file is and how you can open or convert these files.
Files that have end with .ithmb are created by Apple. Most likely, you own an iPod or iPhone and connected it to your computer. The ITHMB files are simply thumbnails that link to larger images.
ITHMB are usually small in size and limited to 25 images on a device, so if you regularly connect your iPhone or iPod, we wouldn't delete them.
Windows users can view, open, or convert ITHMB with the following apps:
iTunes
IrfanView
Tom's Viewer
