When running a program that uses the Visual Basic runtimes, you might receive an error message. The most common message states, "Component 'RICHTX32.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid."
Surprisingly, this error is very common because the runtimes aren't included in Windows, and richtx32.ocx isn't included in the Visual Basic 6 runtimes. After trying our steps, you might need to install the Visual Basic 6 Runtimes if you receive other errors.
The first thing to determine is whether richtx32.ocx is on your computer, then register the ocx if your program still won't run.

Copy richtx32.ocx to the correct folder:
Windows 7, 10 & 11 32-Bit - C:\Windows\System32

You will see a message when completed: "DLLRegisterServer in C:\FilePath\RICHTX32.OCX succeeded."
