How to View and Manage Downloads in Microsoft Edge in Windows 10 & 11
By Timothy Tibbetts |
Microsoft Edge keeps track of your downloads, and you can jump directly to your downloads folder from Microsft Edge to move, copy, or delete any downloaded files.
If the file was just downloaded, a small window appears. If you click anywhere else, that window disappears.
You can open the download folder directly in two places where you see a folder icon.
Click on the trash can icon to delete the file.
Note that in Google Chrome, clicking the delete button only clears the history of the download. Microsoft Edge actually deletes the file, so be careful.
As mentioned, it's easy to have the above window close on you, but you can restore the Downloads window by clicking on the three dots in the top-right corner and click Downloads.
If you like to use keyboard shortcuts, press Ctrl + J.
