Afick (another file integrity checker) can verify file integrity, detect intrusions, and monitor your filesystem for any changes.
It is a command-line utility that does require Perl, but there is an option for GUI which will allow you to configure, run, and analyze the results in Perl/Tk. Both options are included in the download for your convenience. While using Afick, you can initialize the hash.dbm database, check and clean configuration settings, compare and update the hash.dbm file, as well as the ability to print the contents of the database using filters. You also have the option to display aliases, rules, macros, file extensions sorted by numbers, dangerous files (SUID, SGID, world writable, etc.), file size statistics and a chronological modified files list.
Afick logs all details associated with any filesystem modifications giving you access to the details on the total number of scanned, changed, new and deleted files. All details come with the run date and time for easy reference.
