BgPKiller is designed to stop ads and popups from Avira Free Antivirus.

Free antivirus has long been the norm, however some programs are now delivering ads or popups to support this model. Many times these ads are to get you to purchase the shareware programs. While this is understandable, if you have no intentions of purchasing it then it can be quite annoying. I recently dumped another antivirus because the ads of that antivirus kept popping up when I was working or playing games. Most of us don’t mind seeing a nag to upgrade to the paid version but we do mind being interrupted daily and seeing our CPU spike to 100% as seen in screenshot #1 below.

You can manually stop these popups yourself by simply uninstalling the second Avira program or managing your processes but this is a much easier way to do it and it uses very little memory, 1.0 MB on average.
