GameJolt client allows you to browse, download, purchase, manage and update your GameJolt games.
We were excited to try the GameJolt Client. GameJolt is one of many websites we scour looking for the best, or potentially best, released and upcoming indie games. Sadly, GameJolt Client isn't portable and requires a login. Since you can browse their website without logging in, this is a significant misstep for potential new users of GameJolt who want to look around using the app.
Once logged in, the app works the same as the website with an additional left-hand side set of convenient links and is not available through the website.
The GameJolt Client is a great idea and well-executed. As someone who has downloaded many games from GameJolt, we've never had a way to manage them. While we understand the need for an account, we feel the app is more approachable to newbies by not forcing a login right away.
