Windows Defender Firewall is built into Windows 10 and protects your computer against outside access. There may be times when you need to change your firewall settings or allow a blocked app. In this tutorial, we're going to add Windows Defender Firewall to the Desktop context menu.

When finished, you can quickly access:

  • Windows Defender Security Center
  • Windows Defender Firewall
  • Windows Defender Firewall with Advanced Security
  • Allowed Apps
  • Turn Windows Defender Firewall on or off
  • Restore Default Settings

Adding the Windows Defender Firewall Context Menu is a much more complicated registry edit than usual, so we've created registry files to add or remove the Context Menu option.

Download Add Windows Defender Firewall Context Menu in Windows 10 and extract the two files.

Double-click 'Windows Defender Firewall Context Menu ADD.reg' or 'Windows Defender Firewall Context Menu REMOVE.reg' (Default).

Click Yes when prompted by User Account Control.
Click Yes when prompted by Registry Editor.

Click OK when prompted by the Registry Editor.

This tweak is included as part of MajorGeeks Windows Tweaks.
