Windows Update KB4515384 Causing Problems on Windows 10
By Timothy Tibbetts |
Microsoft has confirmed that Windows Update KB4515384 is not rendering multichannel audio correctly. People experiencing problems will notice that their audio does not sound the same as expected. Other users are saying that the update has caused problems with network adapters, search, Start menu, Action Center, USB connections, PINs, and more.
Microsoft recommends you disable multi-channel audio in the settings of the game causing problems, or if you have a third-party audio control panel, find and disable either Multi-channel audio or Virtual Surround Sound.
We suggest you uninstall Windows Update KB4515384.
Uninstall KB4515384
Press the Windows Key + S and begin typing Windows Updates and click on Windows Update settings. Click on View update history.
Optionally, you can go to your Control Panel > Updates & Security > Windows Updates > View Update History.

Click on Uninstall Updates. Now double-click on KB4515384.

Click on Yes when prompted and the update will be uninstalled. A reboot will often be required.
That should solve your problem. Once Microsoft finds the problem, the update will be installed again.
