Everything you do in Windows, Outlook, Skype, OneDrive, Microsoft Office, and Xbox is tied to your Microsoft account. More than likely, you'll need to change your account name, password, or other details at some point. Here's how to change your Microsoft account details.

Most of the changes you need are easy to do once you know to open and log into the Microsoft Account website. But, we'll give you some examples.

You can click on Change password, Change photo, Edit name, Edit profile info, and Billing & shipping addresses.

Enter the current and new password and click Save to change your password. You can also optionally be reminded every 72 days.

To change your name, enter the new name, fill out the captcha form and click on Save.

To change your photo, click on Add a photo or Remove a photo. You can also edit your photo by resizing the circle to be smaller or larger.

Profile info keeps your address, date of birth, gender, etc.

Edit account info is where you manage your emails and phone numbers.

Near the bottom, you can find languages and individual profiles for apps including Skype and Xbox.
