There Is a System Repair Pending Which Requires Reboot to Complete

When you run System File Checker (SFC), you may come across an error that says, "There is a system repair pending which requires a reboot to complete," Restart Windows and run SFC again. Try these steps to resolve this error.
1: Reboot
We'll assume you rebooted as the error suggested. If not, do so before trying anything else.
2: Delete Pending.xml
Open File Explorer and go to C:WindowsWinSxS. You want to find and delete the XML file that has the word Pending.

You might see more than one XML file with the word Pending; be sure to delete them all.
3: Use Recovery Console
If you can't boot into Windows, either boot from the recovery console or Safe Mode.
From the Command Prompt type in dism.exe /image:C: /cleanup-image /revertpendingactions.
Reboot.
