This browser does not support video playback is an error that can appear on most popular web browsers including Chrome, Firefox, and Opera. Here are the steps you can try to fix the problem.

1: Refresh and Restart Your Web Browser

To cover one of the most basic fixes, press F5 to refresh the page. If that fails, close the browser and start it again. If these simple steps fail, we can move forward with troubleshooting.

Additionally, many websites suggest you update or install Flash. Don't. Flash has numerous security risks and is going the way of the dinosaur on the Windows PC. Unless you use and need Flash for specific applications, there's no reason to have that installed on your computer. If your browser is up to date, so is Adobe Flash. Each browser is slightly different but often can be found under Help > About.

Also, some guides have you checking that Flash is enabled. Resetting your browser in Step 3 below can accomplish the same thing.

2: Clear Temporary Files

Most web browsers support CTRL+Shift+ Delete to open and clear your browsing data, although most geeks prefer using a third-party cleaner. If you don't have a cleaner installed, you should. Here are the three most popular and a video guide:

CCleaner - https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/ccleaner_standard.html
Wise Disk Cleaner - https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/wise_disk_cleaner.html
PrivaZer - https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/privazer.html

PrivaZer - 8:04

3: Reset Your Web Browser

Resetting your web browser is an excellent all-in-one fix that eliminates the numerous steps you need to check on multiple web browsers. There's no harm and who knows, your web browser might run faster after a refresh.

Most browsers can be reset in the Help or settings, and you should be able to find it. For example:

Firefox: Use about:support or go to Settings > Help > Troubleshooting information > Refresh Firefox.
Google Chrome: Settings > Advanced > Restore settings to their original defaults at the bottom.
