Alternate MultiPing Can Ping Multiple Hosts
Alternate MultiPing enables you to ping multiple hosts simultaneously, allowing for efficient monitoring of the availability of various network devices and addresses. Additionally, it provides functionality to categorize and organize these resources into different groups, facilitating better management and oversight of network configurations.
Easy-to-Use GUI
Alternate MultiPing features a user-friendly graphical interface for sending ping messages to multiple network devices simultaneously, enabling users to verify connectivity status. These devices can be organized into specific categories for easier management. Additionally, it allows storing connection parameters, such as URLs, usernames, and passwords, for devices with a web interface, enhancing accessibility and organization.
Organize, Customize and Save Results
Alternate MultiPing lets you customize your ping settings and save the results to a file or the clipboard. After populating the main window with entries, you can access any category and send ping commands to all listed hosts in a sequential manner. The default configuration includes a ping interval of 2000 milliseconds and two ping commands, but these settings can be easily adjusted if need be.
Result Details Identical to the Command Line
The ping results are displayed just like the Command Line would, with the date and time of the received response, the target address, the status (success/failure), the ping time, and the number of exchanged bytes. Saving the results to a text file or copying them directly to the clipboard is possible.
Geek Verdict
Alternate MultiPing is an efficient tool for executing multiple ping commands across a wide range of hosts. Its primary function is to help users efficiently organize hosts into various categories, facilitating faster batch-mode connectivity checks. While it's certainly possible to perform these operations using the Windows Command Line, the advantages of a graphical user interface (GUI) and the ability to send ping commands simultaneously in batch mode enhance the overall user experience.
