NIC Watcher is a tiny Windows 11 and Windows 10 sidebar gadget that can help you protect your data from damage or losses. As the name implies, NIC Watcher lets you view the status of your NIC (Network Interface Controller), giving you visual and audio alerts. Audio alerts can be selected to play (.WAV) for connection failures and reconnection success. Sounds can be stopped easily by clicking the tiny Stop button located at the top right of the gadget.

NIC Watcher can watch over up to eight controllers simultaneously, but you must launch a new NIC Watcher for each connected network adapter. You do have the option to lock a selected NIC for use in the future after the next shutdown. Besides, NIC Watcher can keep an eye even on the status of the wireless connection provided by a router.

You will need Desktop Gadgets Revived or similar to be able to utilize NIC Watcher successfully.
