PeerBlock lets you control who your computer "talks to" on the Internet. Portable version is also available.

By selecting appropriate lists of "known bad" computers, you can block communication with advertising or spyware-oriented servers, computers monitoring your p2p activities, computers that have been "hacked," and even entire countries! They can't get into your computer, and your computer won't try to send them anything, either.

PeerBlock enables you to activate or deactivate both IP and HTTP trackers. It also includes a log that displays the tracker's time, source, IP address, destination, and protocol. Additionally, the program offers a list of settings that allow users to customize its interface and operations.

PeerBlock comes with a blocklist provider called iBlockList, which allows users to update their lists once a week for free. If you want daily updates, you can subscribe to a paid plan. PeerBlock Plus Portable offers an additional blocklist updated daily using a custom updater created by the developers. The list provider accepts donations to support their efforts.
