Scancode Map is an easy-to-operate app for remapping keyboard keys to your specific needs.

With Scancode Map, you can easily remap any hardware key to another. It is a very straightforward process; once you have selected the desired remapping (via the plus sign on the interface), you hit the apply button. Once that configuration is written and your machine has been rebooted, you are good to go. Also, the app doesn’t need to be running for mapping to work. Additionally, it is useful to get scancode information for a specific key if you prefer manual mapping - Scancode Map includes an optional standalone Scancode Viewer to assist you in that endeavor.

If you continuously wish that a specific key had a different function, then Scancode Map is a solid choice to help you get the job done through a simple, user-friendly process.
