SuperDelete is a command-line utility specifically geared to delete files and folders with very long paths.

If you've bumped into the 260 max path file error (we haven't) then you know deleting these long files or folders requires a niche tool. SuperDelete can delete file or folder names as long as 32767 characters.

Of course, being command-line it might not be a lot of fun typing in 260 characters, not to mention 32,767 characters. In other words, it's best suited to delete a folder containing the file in question. Your best bet is to drag-and-drop the file you want to delete to a temporary folder, then delete that folder.

To use SuperDelete simply open a command-prompt (preferably as admin) and change to the folder containing the SuperDelete.exe file. Now you can use some parameters. The most common is "SuperDelete.exe fullPathToFileOrFolder."

Other commands include:

SuperDelete.exe --silent fullPathToFileOrFolder
SuperDelete.exe --bypassAcl fullPathToFileOrFolder
SuperDelete.exe --printStackTrace fullPathToFileOrFolder

Using the command prompt in modern times can be cumbersome and frustrating but if you've got a long file to delete, SuperDelete might be just what you need.
