X-Notifier for Chrome and Firefox will actively check your email accounts, notifying you of unread emails and more.

Designed primarily for email accounts, X-Notifier is also capable of providing notifications for popular social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc. This process is achieved by installing scripts that can be obtained from the author's site. You can use multiple accounts for the same host. Please note that X-notifier 4.0 does not support Firefox's user scripts because of the internal changes in Firefox.
