How to Delete the Windows10Upgrade Folder
By Timothy Tibbetts |
If you recently upgraded your Windows, you might have noticed a folder called Windows10Upgrade, and it can be safely removed. Here's how.
Most likely, you recently used the Windows 10 Update Assistant, and that app can be uninstalled the traditional way - under Start > Control Panel > Apps > Apps & Features. Find the Windows 10 Update Assistant and select Uninstall.
You will be asked, "Are you sure to uninstall Windows 10 Update Assistant," apparently written by someone with worse grammar than myself. There are no more prompts or notices, but the Windows 10 Update Assistant will disappear from Apps & Features.

Double-check your drive to be sure the Windows10Upgrade folder is gone.
If you used the Windows 10 Upgrade Assistant, it also left a Windows.old folder behind with possibly over 20GB inside. Here's How to Delete the Windows.old Folder from Windows 10.
