PowerShell is a cross-platform automation and configuration tool/framework that works well with your existing tools and is optimized for dealing with structured data, REST APIs, and object models. It includes a command-line shell, an associated scripting language, and a framework for processing cmdlets.
Of course, many of us know Powershell for applying tweaks or retrieving information about our computers. Microsoft continues to update PowerShell at the time of this article.
You might want to know what version you currently have.
Open Powershell.
Type in:
$PSVersionTable
Or:
Get-Host | Select-Object Version
