While you might think your computer is a beast (I did), you might want to run this tool before dropping your cash on a Rift.
The first time I ran the Oculus Rift Compatibility Tool, it turned out my (at the time) 2-3-year-old i7 processor and my NVIDIA 660 TI weren’t good enough. While my computer can run any game out there with everything on at great speeds, it wasn't good enough for Rift.
My SSD does wonders running whatever I throw at it, but my PC is technically aging as far as new technology goes. So, even if you're sure you can run Oculus Rift, I'd double-check with this tool first. After a video card upgrade, I was Oculus rift ready.
