UnlockMe is a freeware app to delete, move, or rename files or folders that are locked by another process.

We have a few utilities similar to UnlockMe, most popular being Unlocker.

UnlockMe can be used in two different ways. You can launch the program and or use the Context Menu in File Explorer (see screenshots below).

One of the problems with these types of apps is that some work and some don't. Your success depends on what you're trying to unlock. Because of this, you might need to try a couple of different apps. We don't like that the app isn't portable because of this. That said, Camtech has numerous listing on MajorGeeks and is a known and trusted developer.

/We do like the Context Menu option allowing you to unlock files when you need it, rather than launch an additional program.
