Defender Exclusion Tool is a portable solution intended to eliminate issues caused by some antivirus apps, including decreased PC performance and unnecessary file removal when a scan is performed.

Many issues can potentially arise when using any antivirus app. Whether it is Microsoft Security Essentials, Windows Defender, or any solid third-party app, they can sometimes detrimentally affect specific files and folders. Defender Injector is designed to work around these issues by allowing you to add files and folders to a list of exceptions. The functions can be carried out from GUI or via the command line. It is possible to add the exclusion list manually, and it is quite simple, but if you have a ton of exclusions to add, why not make it less time-consuming? This simplicity of use is where Defender Injector comes into its own by slimming the process down to merely right-clicking on the target file and selecting Add as an exclusion. That's it.

Adding files and folders to the exemption list can be performed via drag n' drop, keeping them from the Windows Defender or other antivirus apps security scanning. You can also add exclusions to the Context menu. Activating these features is done by accessing the Options menu and selecting Add to File and Folder Context menu. You will also be able to check or edit your additions to the exceptions list right from the app, as well as directly launching Windows Defender.
