The internet is full of acronyms, and AFAIK is a classic that is used more today than ever and is even listed in the dictionary.
Acronyms are abbreviations of words used to cut down on the time it takes to type. Acronyms are often typed and easier to understand when typed in capital letters.
There's no shame in seeing an acronym you don't recognize, and it's happened to everybody (or it eventually will).
AFAIK means “As Far As I Know”
AFAIK indicates that someone is not sure of the answer or agrees to the best of their knowledge.
For example:
What are you doing tonight?
AFAIK, nothing
AFAIK was always popular in the 2000s in IRC (Internet Relay Chat) and many popular messaging programs, including ICQ and Yahoo.
Today, AFAIK has even increased in popularity on smartphones and modern messaging apps.
