Click on Start > Settings > Update & security. Click on Troubleshoot on the left.

Click on Additional troubleshooters on the right.

Click on Network Adapter.

Follow the prompts or see more information about using Windows 10 Troubleshooters here.

3: This Device Has Failed and Is Undergoing a Reset (Code 54) - Reset Wireless Connection

Open PowerShell or the command prompt as administrator.

Type the following lines and press Enter after each.

netsh winsock reset
netsh int ip reset
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns

If that fails, you might need to
  • reset network settings.

Finally, Code 54 is often seen when connecting an iPhone to a Windows 10 computer.

Open your Music folder. Right-click on the iTunes folder.

Click Properties. Uncheck the Read-only box.

If that didn't work, click on the Security tab.

Click on Edit > full control.

    Click apply.
