Three Ways to Open Sound Settings in the Control Panel in Windows 10 & 11

While most of us have gotten used to using Settings in Windows 10 or 11, you can often find more options in the Control Panel. Here are three ways to open the Sound settings in the Control Panel.

Three Ways to Open Control Panel Sound Settings - From Settings

Right-click on the speaker icon in the system tray in the lower-right corner to open Sound Settings.

Click on Sound Settings.

Windows 10 - Scroll down and click on Sound Control Panel.



Windows 11 - Scroll down and click on More sound settings.

Start typing Control Panel in Windows Search (Windows key + S), and click on Control Panel.

If you only see a handful of shortcuts, click on View by and click Large or Small icons.

Click on Sound.

Press the Windows Key + R. Type in mmsys.cpl sounds and press enter or click on OK.
