Enable or Disable Battery Life Estimated Time Remaining in Windows 10 & 11
By Timothy Tibbetts |
Microsoft has removed the estimated battery time from Windows because it's not a very accurate measure of your estimated battery time. Some people would still like to be able to see the estimated remaining time as it can give you a rough idea of what to expect in terms of remaining battery life. Here's how to enable the "Estimated Battery Time Remaining" option when you hover your mouse over the battery icon in the taskbar.
Download Enable or Disable Battery Life Estimated Time Remaining in Windows 10 & 11 from MajorGeeks and extract the two files.
Double-click on DisableBatteryIconTimeRemaining.reg or EnableBatteryIconTimeRemaining.reg.
Click Yes when prompted by User Account Control.
Click Yes when prompted by Registry Editor.
Click OK when prompted by the Registry Editor.
Reboot or Restart Explorer to see the changes.
