File Explorer is the default File Manager in Windows 10 and 11. There are hundreds of possible customization options available. You can disable access to folder options using our registry files or Group Policy Editor.
Disabling option is a great idea for anyone who shares a computer, or perhaps for schools, institutions, businesses, and anywhere a computer is accessible by more than one person.

Using our registry files simplifies the process.
Download Enable or Disable Folder Options in Windows 10 & 11 from MajorGeeks, and extract the two files.
Double-click on Folder Options - Disable.reg or Folder Options - Enable.reg (Default).
Reboot, or restart File Explorer.

Navigate to:
User Configuration/Administrative Templates/Windows Components/File Explorer
Double-click on Do not allow Folder Options to be opened from the Options button on the View tab of the ribbon.
Click on Enabled to disable Folder Options or click on Not configured or Disabled to enable Folder Options (Default).
