How to Turn Off First Sign-in Animation in Windows 10
By Timothy Tibbetts |
When you a user first signs in or you install a new build or feature of Windows, some animations appear. Many of us find them annoying and time-consuming. Not anymore.
You can disable the first sign-in animation in the Registry or Group Policy Editor, but the registry requires two changes and the registry files make it easy.

Download Turn Off First Sign-in Animation in Windows 10 and extract the two files.
Disable First Sign-in Animation.reg
Enable First Sign-in Animation.reg (Default)
Double-click Disable First Sign-in Animation.reg or Enable First Sign-in Animation.reg to add or remove Extract All Context Menu for ZIP Files.
Click Yes when prompted by User Account Control.
Click Yes when prompted by Registry Editor.
Click OK when prompted by the Registry Editor.
This tweak is included as part of MajorGeeks Windows Tweaks.
If you want to use Group Policy Editor, navigate to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Logon > Show first sign-in animation. Windows 10 Home users will need to enable Group Policy Editor.
