In Windows 10, you can find numerous icons on the right side of the Taskbar that can show you notifications or launch these apps. You can decide if you want to see all icons or individually select which icons appear.

Personally, we prefer to see all icons, and it's one of the first things we do on a clean install of Windows. It allows us to keep an eye on what apps are running on startup and see any updates that need our attention. For example, here is our notification area with icons on, then off.

Let's decide if you want to see all notification icons or not and how you can choose which apps appear in the notification area.

Right-click near one of the icons and click Taskbar settings.

Optionally, you can click on Start > Settings > Personalization >Taskbar.

Scroll down and click on Select which icons appear on the taskbar on the right.

Choose whether you want to show all icons or not here:

If you want to show all icons in the notification area, you must choose On.

If you want to decide which icons appear on the taskbar, you must choose Off.

Now you can scroll down and select the icons you only want to see by toggling them on or off, on the right.

Note that you might need to choose at least three before the small arrow disappears and you can see all notification icons.
