Repairing the search on Windows 10 has numerous possible fixes, but using the Reset Windows Search PowerShell Script is a simple, easy solution to try first.
Download Reset Windows Search PowerShell Script from MajorGeeks.

Right-click on ResetWindowsSearchBox.ps1 and click Run with Powershell.
If you receive the error Cannot be loaded because running scripts is disabled on this system, Open Powershell as Administrator, and type in:
Set-ExecutionPolicy -Scope CurrentUser -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted and press Y, then Enter.
Keep PowerShell open for later.
Press A.
Click Yes when prompted.
Press any key when prompted.
If you received the error Cannot be loaded because running scripts is disabled on this system earlier, type in:
Set-ExecutionPolicy -Scope CurrentUser -ExecutionPolicy Restricted
