Windows 11 now features a simplified Context Menu. If you miss the Windows 10 Context Menu, you can edit the registry or use our registry files.

The default Context Menu will appear wherever you use the Context Menu, including File Explorer and the Desktop.

How to Restore the Windows 10 Context Menu in Windows 11 - Registry Files

Using our Registry Files makes the process simple for any skill level.

Download Restore the Windows 10 Context Menu in Windows 11 and extract the two files.

Double-click on Windows 10 Context Menu For Windows 11.reg or Windows 11 Default Context Menu.reg (Default).

Click Yes when prompted by User Account Control.
Click Yes when prompted by Registry Editor.

Click OK when prompted by the Registry Editor. Reboot.

Reboot or restart Explorer.

How to Restore the Windows 10 Context Menu in Windows 11 - Registry Editor

Advanced users can go to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\CLASSES\CLSID\ in the Registry.

Create a New > Key named {86ca1aa0-34aa-4e8b-a509-50c905bae2a2}.

Right-click on {86ca1aa0-34aa-4e8b-a509-50c905bae2a2} and click on New > Key and name that InprocServer32.

Double-click InprocServer32. Now close it, and click on OK. (That makes 'value not set' a blank entry).

Reboot or restart Explorer.
