You may have heard the slang Sus being used more lately, mostly by the younger generation. What does SUS mean?
Sus is slang for suspicious or suspect
Sus isn't something new. We can trace the first time it appears in Urban Dictionary back to 2003, and it was in use before that.
The recent popularity is due to the online game Among Us, a multiplayer cooperative game where players have to find and vote out the traitors.
Using sus is a simple way to discuss a suspicious character in the game. Sus then appeared frequently on TikTok, which is a recurring theme with slang and acronyms.
