AeroPeek11 is a tiny Open Source utility that brings back the Windows Aero Peek missing in Windows 11.

For those not familiar, Aero Peek allowed you to hover over a taskbar thumbnail that would show a preview of the entire window. It was also accessible through the Show desktop button, making all open windows transparent for a quick view of the desktop.

The developer explains AeroPeek11 works by creating a window that you manually place in the old Aero Peek position. Once set, AeroPeek11 can be restarted, and it will be loaded again in that spot that you told it to stay. When you hover over the Form, an event handler for entering the "Form" will be triggered and simulate Aero Peek functionality.

In a nutshell, AeroPeek11 will effectively simulate the Aero Peek feature, including the delay before peek and return to programs view. For those that have upgraded to Windows 11 but miss that function, this easy-to-use app will give them what they want.
