Change the Default New Folder Name contains the registry files to change the 'New Folder' name when creating a new folder, as explained here.
We can do this with registry files (see instructions) or by editing the registry.
Because we're using a custom name, you must open the Registry file with Notepad or any text editor. Look for My New Folder and change that to the folder name you want.
You can use any name for the default folder, but \ / ? : * " > < | ' are not allowed. You should also be aware that anything you create when you click on New will also have the same name.
Download 'Change the Default 'New Folder' Name in Windows' and extract the two files.
Double-click 'Default New Folder Name - New Name.reg' or 'Default New Folder Name - Default.reg' (Default).
Click Yes when prompted by User Account Control.
Click Yes when prompted by Registry Editor.
Click OK when prompted by the Registry Editor.
