Enable or Disable USB Write Protection contains two registry files to enable or disable USB Write Protection (USB Write Access) on your computer.
Our tutorial shows you how to physically enable or disable write protection and also has the registry code if you'd like to see, or make, the changes yourself.
Using the hardware method is simple and perfect if you need to enable or disable write protection occasionally while the registry method is ideal for protecting your data every time.
Download Enable or Disable USB Write Protection and extract the two files.
Double-click Enable USB Write Protection.reg or Disable USB Write Protection.reg (Default) to Enable or Disable USB Write Protection.
Click Yes when prompted by User Account Control.
Click Yes when prompted by Registry Editor.
Click OK when prompted by the Registry Editor.
