Sys Probe is a portable app showing you all your computer and software information, as well as some monitoring tools.
Sys Probe uses a simple left and right interface. At startup, program options are available as well as CPU usage, memory usage, and system uptime.
On the left, you will find a couple of broad categories and subcategories. The main two are computer and operating system.
Under computer, you can find information about your CPU, BIOS, Ports, GPU, Sound, Network, Keyboard, USB Devices, Pointing System, and Drives and Volumes. There is also a general breakdown here. Where Sys Probe shines is the amount of detail provided. For example, the CPU information alone has forty different bits of information. Under CPU, you will notice another feature many system information tools lack - monitoring. In the CPU area, you can see your current CPU temperature. It also has information on areas ignored by similar apps, for example, parallel and serial ports.
Moving on to the Operating system section, you can find information about Fonts, Drivers, Shares, Desktop, File Types, Processes, Services, Visual Styles, Components, Event Viewer, Special Folders, Date and Time, OEM Information, Startup Programs, User Information, Installed Programs, Multimedia Codecs, and Environment Variables. Once again, some information is provided that many similar apps miss, including your Windows key, number of fonts, event viewer, and more. Here and there you will find things you can change. You can end a process by right-clicking on it, add or delete startup programs, or enter new OEM information and logos.
Sys Probe is geared to be a system information tool but walks the line of being a monitoring and tweaking tool as well. You might need to download dozens of apps to accomplish what this one program can do. If you're looking for an in-depth system information tool with a few extra features, your search is over.
