If you have ever listened to someone on a Youtube video sounding like they grabbed a puff of helium and spoke super-fast while attempting to follow along, then this little extension is for you. You can optimize your video viewing through quick playback speed adjustments.

Once Video Speed Controller is up and running, jump over to any HTML5 video; we used our Tweaking.com Windows Repair video for testing. Once on the video, you'll see a slightly opaque speed indicator top left of the video player. You can hover over it and reveal the controls. You can easily accelerate, slow down, or rewind (10 seconds + lowers playback speed).

Video Speed Controller also supports keyboard controls that can be changed to your preference:

    - S - decrease playback speed
    - D - increase playback speed
    - R - reset playback speed
    - Z - rewind the video by 10 seconds
    - X - advance video by 10 seconds
    - V - show/hide controller
