Once you connect to a wireless network, Windows will save the password in Windows 7, 8, and 10. Here's how to find your Wi-Fi password. If you're looking for your password in Windows 11, see this tutorial.

On Windows 10 click on Start > Settings > Network & Internet > Status. Scroll down and click on Network and Sharing Center.
On Windows 8 or 7 (and 10 if you wish) press the Windows Key + S, and type in and click on Network and Sharing Center.

Click on your active wireless connection in the Network and Sharing Center. Your active connection should have green bars, and the text is blue, and you can click on it.

Under Wi-Fi Status, click on Wireless Properties.

Click on the Security tab and uncheck the box that says Show characters. There's your password!

Another option, if you're using the default password that came with your router, is to look for a sticker on the back. All routers look a bit different but are easy to spot. Here's my Comcast router, for example.
