Whenever you connect to a wireless connection, a new profile is created that contains your password key, network name, and security information. Here are a few ways you can delete a network profile.

Video tutorial:

1: Delete a Wireless Network Profile in System Tray

Click on your Wi-Fi icon in the System Tray.

Right-click over the network profile you want to delete and click on Forget.

2: Delete a Wireless Network Profile in Settings

Click Start > Settings > Network & internet.

Click on Wi-Fi. Click on Manage known networks.

Click on the network profile you want to delete and click on Forget.

3: Delete a Wireless Network Profile From Command Prompt

While the Command Prompt isn't the easiest way, it will work if the first two methods fail. All you need to know are the proper commands.

Open the Command Prompt as Administrator.

If you want to be sure of all your network profile names, type in netsh wlan show profiles.

Delete a single profile - netsh wlan delete profile name="WirelessNetworkName". Replace WirelessNetworkName with the Network Profile you want to delete, including the quotes.

Delete all profiles - netsh wlan delete profile name=*
