How to Show, Hide, Add, or Remove a Folder From Libraries in Windows 10

Windows 10 includes a Libraries shortcut for quick access to Music, Pictures, Documents, Videos. In this tutorial, we show you how to show or hide Libraries and how to add or remove them.

Show or Hide Libraries

Open File Explorer.

Click on a blank area on the left and click on Show libraries to show or hide Libraries.



Remove a Library

Removing a library only removes the Libraries shortcut, not the folder. The folders can be found in C:\Users\YourName.

Highlight the Library to delete, right-click on the library, and click Delete or press the delete key.



You can also click on Libraries and again right-click and delete or press the delete key.

Add a Library

Adding Libraries is a great way to store custom files and folders to further organize your photos, videos, and music.

Right-click on Libraries and click New > Library.



Name the new library anything you like.
