How to Restart the Start Menu in Windows 10 & 11

If your Start menu is slow, unresponsive, or not working, you might be able to fix this by restarting the Start Menu. Here are some options to fix your Start Menu.
You should be able to restart the Start Menu using Task Manager or the Command Prompt.
How to Restart the Start Menu in Windows 10 & 11 - Task Manager
Open the Task Manager.
There are two places in Task Manager where you can restart the Start Menu.
Under the Processes tab, find Start.
Right-click on Start, and click on End task.
Under the Details tab, find StartMenuExperienceHost.exe.
Right-click on StartMenuExperienceHost.exe, and click on End task.
How to Restart the Start Menu in Windows 10 & 11 - Command Prompt
You can also use Windows Terminal, PowerShell, or the Command Prompt to restart your Start Menu.
Open the Command Prompt.
Type in:
taskkill /f /im StartMenuExperienceHost.exe and press Enter.
You should see SUCCESS.
